Hhhhmmmm I don't even know where to start. Let's see so much has happened since my last post, uummm I lost weight (Yippy!!!), I completed my first tri since training again, I'm making huge gains with my fitness thanks to my new coach (Eilleen Swanson), I had a bday (28), oh ya, and my fiance and I broke up after being together for over 6.5 years. It's a pretty rough experience, struggling with this whole process, but what do you do? I can't give in, I'm trying to go about life as if nothings happened, and I'm as strong as ever. It's going to take time, I'm assuming a lot of time to heal, but I look forward to the future and what will come. I know this is a short post, but I had to get it out and give a small update, I'm hoping to begin making updates regularly.

I hope all is well

Just one of those days.

The day started out crazy. When I got to work I realized I was scheduled to facilitate 2 classes this week and I had no idea, just when I thought I could catch up this week this happens. Today was a struggle to get as much done as I could, and try to not let myself get too frustrated. I had positive light at the end of the tunnel, because I was looking forward to a 2.5 hr ride after work. Ride was amazing, weather was gorgeous and on the way home I had a tail wind (when does this ever happen? I always have a huge head wind riding back), and then about 20 minutes from home, I get a flat. GGRRRRR no fun, since I didn't have a tube on me, so had to call my pops who came and got me, he's the best. It was nice though two different cars stopped to see if I needed help. So if all the negativity didn't get me down today, I'm just feeling like I'm not making the progress I need to be making. I'm still not losing much weight and this is so frustrating to me, this extra 20lbs is really hindering my ride and run and probably even my swim. Well I better stop for now before I get too negative, to think about it this is my first negative post. Kind of shocking since I'm usually very positive. Oh and one last negative, I'm dying to watch the Giro, but direct TV doesn't carry Universal Sport, this is nuts!!!! Oh well...

Well Happy Training to all!

Has it really been this long??

Okay, okay I know, it's been forever since I've updated, but it's for good reason. I just got done with financial accounting, and let me tell you I had no fun. I truly don't enjoy math of any kind or accounting type classes, but what I do enjoy is writing and business courses. So now that I'm done focusing on that I hope to have some more free time.

I have also been training like crazy, I've been working with Shelly with my swim and it's turned into a "kill" Ryan session which has been awesome because I can already see huge strides in my swimming. Cycling and running is also coming along, but not as fast as I would like, I'm hoping now that the weather is getting super nice I will start to really see some progress. I've decided to do the Salt Point 26k (11miles) at the end of July, and I will be training with a group so this should spark my run (at least I'm hoping this happens). Not really sure what else to update other than I will try and do this more often.

It's coming around!

Just went on an hour ride nice and easy zone 2 the whole time and I felt amazing!. Last Thursday I went for an hour ride and I don't know what got into me, but I was supposed to be in zone 2 the whole time and I was in zone 3-4. I was dead for the next couple of days so I took some time off the bike. Today was great though, I can feel that I'm starting to come along. Yesterday I ran and swam, I went pretty hard with both. I am starting to get really excited about the next couple of months and the progress I will be making. Well more later.

The Last Week

Oh so where do I start, it's been awhile since I have posted (not really sure anyones really reading anyways), but this last week was busy. Last weekend I had my anniversary weekend with my fiance which was amazing! We went to San Francisco all day on Friday, went on a dinner dance cruise (I have to admit I drank a little and ate a little too much) and then we stayed at Hotel Vitale on the Embarcadaro which is a gorgeous Hotel. So last weekend was awesome!

I woke up Monday sick, I felt like I was fighting something the previous week and it finally got me. So I decided to take sometime off of swimming and running which gave me plenty of time on my bike. I had my power meter all ready and it was pretty cool training with a power meter for the first time. I got 3 good days of riding in, the weather here has been amazing. I'm starting to think about my training plan a little more, if I should get a coach, thinking about doing some swim lessons in San Fran with a Total Immersion coach and possibly starting some open water swimming in the bay. I think the most important thing for me right now is to get some consistent training in lose this weight and then start thinking about being competitive.

Well tomorrow I will start my day with a ride and then I will be wine tasting all day!

Why is it sunny when I'm at work?

Today turned out to be a nice day, but of course I was stuck in the office all day, good thing I got my workout in early. I got up at 5 AM to run and swim today. I have been increasing my pace and distance slowly with my run and it's been feeling great! Slowly but steadily I will get more fit (especially once I drop some lbs). My calfs are still sore from Mondays class, but it's that really good sore :) I know sick right? I also increased my swim today to 45 minutes. There are times when I feel so smooth and then the next 25yds I will so chopy, I really need to get some stroke work in. I will probably push myself pretty pretty good over the next couple of days since I will have a couple days off for a vacation with Anong. Well can't think of much more to say, so I'm outy.

Exhausted!

My second week is in the books and I am beat! I was able to complete all my trainings this week with good intensity, but I am starting to realize how out of shape I really am. I am still progressing according to plan though, my swim is coming along (I fear my technique is horrible though), cycling is painful on my ass, I am still fiddling with my bike setup which will probably continue as I become more fit, become more flexible and lose weight, and I also upped my running a little this week and shockingly I am feeling pretty good about it (running is always my weakest, but I want to focus heavily on it).

So, all in all the last week of training was very good, but now I am exhausted. I am trying to figure out the perfect balance between my training and calorie intake since I am losing weight as I go, but I down to 208!!! YES!!!

I have yet to introduce some of my family so here it goes. I was able to spend the whole day yesterday with my gorgeous fiance, godson and niece. This month I have been with her for 6 years, her name is Anong and I will be talking about her more in the future I am sure. My godson Kyden is 4 and his baby sister is now 6 months and her name is Kylee. I try to spend all my free time with them since they are my world. Kyden calls me "Goddaddy" which is so cute. LOL Well enough for today I will post again soon.
